Young Vandals Cause Thousands Of Dollars In Damages To Car Windshields

Recently there have been a slew of attacks reported by drivers who are getting their auto glass smashed out. Young males are roaming the streets in search of car windows to vandalize. It is very unfortunate that this event is occurring in our nation but there are a few things that you can do to reduce your chances of becoming the next victim.

Whenever possible you should always try and park your vehicle inside our home under the safety and security of a closed garage door. Parking your vehicle in the garage will be it much more difficult for vandals to access your car so hit-and-runs on your windshield will not be worth the effort for them. Vandals mainly target vehicles that are parked on the street due to the ease off accessibility and it allows them to getaway much more quickly.

There have also been reports of cars being vandalized and windshields smashed while drivers are driving or sitting at stop signs. It is important that you always be aware of your surroundings at all times when driving. If you see a suspicious vehicle approaching your car, it would be wise to try and avoid them as much as possible.

Remember, a windshield replacement can turn very costly. If you have a crack on your windshield, you should bring your vehicle into the carglass1 as soon as possible so that you can have a windshield repair performed before the crack increases. If a crack increases beyond the point of repair you will be forced to get a windshield replacement which is definitely going to make a mark on your wallet.
